The emblem is a Bodhi tree, Sri Maha Bodhi, planted in Kok Pib Subdistrict, Sri Mahosod District. It
is a Buddhist symbol that is the pride of Prachin Buri Province because it is believed that it is a
Bodhi tree that the envoy from India who came to spread Buddhism around B.E. 500 brought the species
from Sri Maha Bodhi, Bodh Gaya, India. It is the Bodhi tree where the Lord Buddha sat and practiced
Dharma until he became the Supreme Buddha. This Bodhi tree is revered and worshipped by local and
foreign people, and there is an annual worship event.
